Representing an
evolutionary line that is unique to Africa, painted dogs are amongst this
ravaged continents most endangered species. It is estimated that a mere 3,000
remain in the wild, many in small, non-viable, isolated populations.
The Zimbabwean
population is one of the last strongholds of the species. |
Zimbabwe
is the only country in Africa to see a population increase in the last ten
years. With a strong commitment to community development and conservation
education, our methods are working. We rely totally on the generosity of
individuals and organisations alike to continue our work. |
